A full-fledged ice-cream production line, from raw material to the customer in one space. The 2-story factory opens up to the front-of-house customers area; we opted to have partial transparency between the process of making the product and the customer counter. Through a series of movable vertical panels; glass, stainless-steel and polycarbonate sheets which dance infront of the factory backdrop.
A main long island sits in the middle where the performative part of plating the ice-cream takes centre stage, under a simple light loop to frame the makers and the clay rows of jars below.
The exterior façade design is a reflection of the interior, panels of frosted icy glass, stainless steel, aluminium cladding and customised exposed aggregate walls with blue hues. Exposed aggregate concrete walls for the building base holding the while panels above.
